Since the days of the earliest settlers, fish and fish scraps have been used and or recognized as an excellent source of plant nutrition. Our forefathers may not have understood the science of fish as a fertilizer; but the effectiveness, plant quality and improved yields were very evident. Through the years of technological advances, man has just recently begun to realize the importance of protecting our environment and the role liquid fish fertilizer will play.
SOFF is a cold process; it naturally maintains the hormones, vitamins, enzymes, amino acids and minerals. Our product is high in oil content, sulfur and calcium. Our quality control is such that each batch is monitored and kept track of and is periodically tested for heavy metals.
SOFF is not an emulsion process like our competitors; Emulsion means extreme heat has been added in the process and various things have been removed from the product. Schafer’s use a process called hydrolysate in which the product is broken down more slowly to create the highest quality natural fertilizer on the market today.
Organic fertilizer is the answer to our biological farmer. Our crops need to be grown on live, fertile soil. This fish fertilizer allows the biological farmer to produce safe, healthy, and nutritious crops both for animal and human consumption.
OUR PRODUCT:
SOFF is one of the highest quality liquid fish fertilizers made. It’s produced through a cold process. This is done to preserve the natural hormones, vitamins, enzymes, amino acids, and minerals. The natural process activates the microbes in the soil.
OUR PROCESS:
What sets our product apart from others is the process. By grinding whole fish from the Midwest region, we have higher oil contents and higher calcium levels. Nothing is removed from our product, it is 100% fish. The product is filtered thru a 200 mesh screen, and is continually monitored in 6000 gallon tanks with its own guaranteed analysis. When the product is sold it is then filtered again with a 200 mesh screen just before shipping.
WHAT WILL SCHAFER’S ORGANIC FISH FERTILIZER DO FOR YOU:
- It’s an all natural product to give nutrients to the soil.
- Applied properly, it will increase yields and help growth of the plants.
- Because of being screened at the 200 mesh level, you can handle our product with ease.
- Increases the chlorophyll in the plants, this creates a real dark green in the plants.
- Helps to build trace elements in the soil.
- The oil content in foliar spraying, may deter the result of rust, blight, mold, and other things which attacks the leaf.
- Will help with root growth, as well as germination.
- Studies have shown that in standard fertilizers, close to 80% of the nitrogen either gases or leaches off. Schafer’s does neither. The oils and collagens help lock it in the soil. Some tests have shown nitrogen equivalencies of 15 percent.
SOFF is available in quarts, gallons, 5 gallons, 55 gallon drums, 275 gallon totes, or tanker load shipments. Any of these items are available at Schafer’s Fisheries in our Thomson Illinois location. These items can be shipped or delivered. However, pricing does not include shipping and handling.
